Voltalia has completed the inaugural operation of its largest solar photovoltaic (PV) project in the UK, the 49.9 MW South Farm Solar Park near Spetisbury in Dorset.
The project has secured a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) with the local authority the City of London Corporation. Santander UK has provided GBNP25 million (US$31.08 million) in funding support for the construction and operation of the project.
South Farm's completion has been certified with a grid connection and has been actively providing the City Corporation with electricity since January 2023.
