The 60 MW Solar Serra do Mel 1 solar photovoltaic project currently being developed by Voltalia Energia do Brasil Ltda has entered the national Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development (REIDI) of Brazil and receives infrastructure debentures.
The REIDI scheme allows the developer to build the project for a total investment of BRL202.9 million (US$38.5 million), about BRL20 million (US$3.74 million) savings from the initial plan.
The project will be constructed in Serra do Mel municipality pf Rio Grande do Norte state. It is expected to be commissioned by December 2024.
