Vestas Wind Systems A/S has completed the installation of all 36 turbines at three wind farms located in Quang Tri province, Vietnam.
Vestas was under contract to supply, install and commission its V150-4.2 MW machines, delivered in 4.0 MW operating mode, for the Lien Lap, Phong Huy, and Phong Nguyen wind projects, with 48 MW installed capacity each. The contract also includes a ten-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
The three wind projects are jointly owned by Power Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 (PCC1) and Renova Inc. The wind farms are supported by a feed-in tariff of US$0.085 per kWh.
In May of 2020, Renova has taken a 40% stake in the Quang Tri portfolio with PPC1 holding the 60% remaining 60%.
