Vena Energy, partners sign landmark framework agreement for 2 GW solar PV with 8 GWh battery energy storage system in Jakarta

Vena Energy has signed a landmark framework agreement with Suntech, Powin, and REPT Battero to explore opportunities for the establishment of local production lines for components of a hybrid megaproject in the Riau Islands in Indonesia which is currently under development.

The project is set to feature up to 2 GW of solar power capacity and a battery energy storage system capable of storing over 8 GWh of clean energy.

Vena Energy has so far commissioned five solar and onshore wind projects totaling 114 MW in Indonesia.
