Vattenfall has started the installation of the first wind turbine at the 67 MW Gronhult wind farm in Sweden, which is now owned by The Renewable Infrastructure Group (TRIG).
The work on the wind farm located in the municipalities of Tranemo and Gislaved, began with the construction of roads, and then continued on to the construction of parking spaces, foundations, and the facility's internal electricity network. Gronhult project consists of a total of twelve wind turbines with individual generating capacities of 5.6 MW. These wind turbines, which will be installed by Vestas, will be able to supply renewable household electricity to approximately 40,000 homes on an annual basis.
The wind project is anticipated to be commissioned at the end of the year.
