Enercon closes financing on 134.4 MW wind project in Sweden

ENERCON has finalized the financing of its 134.4 MW onshore wind farm in Sweden, under a EUR118 million (US$18.77 million) senior facilities agreement with DNB Bank ASA who acted as the sole mandated lead arranger.

The bridge finance will be used to build the Ersträsk North wind farm in the Markbygden region. The project was sold in a separate deal using a forward sale arrangement to Irish investor Greencoat Renewables PLC, who will also soon be the owner of the nearby 101MW Ersträsk South onshore wind farm. The project consists of 32 turbines of the type E-138 EP3 E2 and has already commenced construction targeting commercial operation in Q4 2023.
