USD194.57 million refinancing received for 241 MW onshore wind project in Sweden

The equal joint venture between Red Rock Power Limited and CapMan Infra has completed a EUR180 million (US$194.57 million) refinancing of its 241 MW Överturingen wind farm in central Sweden.

The new consortium of lenders comprises of DekaBank, NatWest, NordLB, and Bank of China.  Macquarie Capital advised Red Rock Power and CapMan Infra on the transaction.

The 241 MW onshore wind farm is one of the largest in Scandinavia and consists of 56 Siemens Gamesa 4.2 MW turbines which have the capacity to generate enough energy to power up to 265,000 apartments or 40,000 stand-alone houses annually. It has been operational since December 2020. It holds a 29-year PPA with a Norwegian aluminum company.
