Fred. Olsen Seawind and Vattenfall have awarded over GBP3 million (US$3.7 million) in development contracts with suppliers in Scotland, UK for the development of Mara Mhòr Offshore Wind Farm.
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the project will be carried out by GoBe Consultants Ltd. which has been appointed by the project developers. GoBe will be responsible for both the Habitats Regulation Assessment and the EIA, and they will get assistance from the Scottish Planning team of Land Use Consultants for the onshore elements of the project.
As Fred. Olsen Seawind and Vattenfall continue to advance the plans for the Mara Mhor Offshore Wind Farm, additional contracts worth GBP5 million (US$6 million) are currently in the process of being procured. Additionally, work on the preparation of the EIA Scoping Report and baseline assessment is currently underway.
