Genex Power has selected UGL as the preferred engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the 50 MW Jemalong solar project to be located in New South Wales, Australia.
UGL was previously responsible for the delivery of the 50 MW Kidston Solar One project (KS1), in addition to being selected as the preferred EPC contactor for the Kidston Solar 2 project (K2-Solar) under development.
Genex Power and UGL will work together in finalizing the EPC and operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts for the project.
The two companies are expected to complete the remaining development needed to reach financial close on the project in June and begin the construction in July 2019.
