Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Limited has completed the sale of transmission assets to Triton Knoll OFTO Limited, owned by ETEPCO, a consortium of Equitix Limited and TEPCO Power Grid Incorporated.
The Triton Knoll Offshore Wind Farm is a collaborative venture with ownership shared among RWE (59%), J-POWER (25%), and Kansai Electric Power (16%). RWE serves as the operating entity on behalf of the consortium. The anticipated revenue from the sale, led by RWE, is projected to be GBP 572.7 million (USD 721 Million).
Triton Knoll's construction concluded in April 2021, and all 90 turbines were fully commissioned by January 2022. With a power output of 857 MW and turbines standing at 164 m, Triton Knoll generates enough electricity to meet the annual needs of approximately 935,000 homes. Situated 20 miles off the coast of Lincolnshire and 28 miles from the coast of north Norfolk, Triton Knoll contributes significantly to the renewable energy landscape.
