Asia Brewery Inc. (ABI) has contracted TotalEnergies ENEOS to install a 13.8 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) project on one of its production plants in the Philippines.

The solar PV system will provide renewable energy for around 24% of the facility's energy needs. With over 24,000 solar panels, the system will produce over 20,000 MWh of renewable energy annually, lowering ABI's carbon footprint by around 9,600 tons of CO2 emissions yearly.

ABI will pay for the electricity generated for 9 years with no upfront investments.
