TotalEnergies has signed two new long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to deliver 1 GW of solar capacity – equivalent to 28 TWh of renewable electricity over 15 years – to supply Google’s data centers in Texas. The power will be generated from TotalEnergies-owned sites currently under development in Texas: Wichita (805 MWp) and Mustang Creek (195 MWp), with construction scheduled to begin in Q2 2026.

The 1 GW of PPAs also adds to the separate 1.2 GW gross PPAs recently secured by Clearway, the California-based renewables firm in which TotalEnergies holds a 50% stake, to supply power to Google’s data centres in the ERCOT (Texas), PJM (Northeast), and SPP (Central) markets. In the United States, TotalEnergies operates a 10 GW gross portfolio of onshore solar, wind, and battery storage projects, including 400 MW in PJM and 5 GW in ERCOT. The agreements with Google join a broad portfolio of corporate power supply deals TotalEnergies has signed with companies such as Airbus, SWM, Data4, STMicroelectronics, Saint-Gobain, Air Liquide, Amazon, LyondellBasell, Merck, Microsoft, Orange, and Sasol, underscoring the company’s capacity to deliver innovative energy solutions by using its diversified asset base to help customers advance their decarbonization goals.
