The state-owned utility Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) has launched a tender for the development of a hydroelectric with floating solar photovoltaic hybrid project with a capacity of 24 MW.

The Ubol Ratana Dam Hydro-Floating Solar Hybrid Project will be constructed in Ubol Ratana Dam in Khok Sung, Ubolratana District, about 50 km north of Khon Kaen in the Khon Kaen Province.
