The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has issued a Contract notice for services to commercialize a low-carbon heat network within Westminster, UK.
The South Westminster Area Network (SWAN) is a heat network project in Westminster, developed as part of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero's Advanced Zoning Programme, with an estimated annual heat demand exceeding 400 GWh. The Department seeks a Development Partner with the expertise to commercialize and potentially deliver this low-carbon heat network. The chosen partner will receive up to GBP 1 million (US$ 1.2 million) for commercialization services, governed by a Development Agreement, with the cost included in the bidding process.
