Solar developer Sunrock has started the commercial operation of the 25 MW Maasvlakte solar photovoltaic (PV) project, one of the largest solar rooftop systems in Europe.
The Maasvlakte facility is located on the 210,000 sq.m. PATRIZIA Maasvlakte logistics site in the Rotterdam port area, the Netherlands. The 120,000 sq.m. PV system has a capacity of 25 MWp and will produce clean energy for around 8,000 households in the future.
The Maasvlakte solar plant contributes to the Netherlands' commitment to the EU's Green Deal and is expected to save up to 14,845 tons of CO annually. In addition, Maasvlakte accounts for almost half of PATRIZIA's total solar power capacity in its logistics real estate portfolio, underscoring the company's sustainability goals
