FairWind has been awarded a contract to provide turbine erection services for the 120 MW Hanze and Ansjovisstroom wind projects in the Netherlands. The wind farms, part of the Windplan Groen project, will have 20 units of GE 6.0-164m RD turbines from the Cypress platform set to be installed in the Dutch province of Flevoland.
Work is scheduled to commence in May, with the wind farms expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
The Windplan Groen project is expected to generate 1.9 billion kWh yearly upon completion, as part of the Netherlands' efforts to transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy sources.
