SSE Renewables, a unit of SSE plc, and FuturEnergy have secured planning permission for the development of the 60 MW wind farm project located in Donegal County, Ireland.
Ireland's national independent planning body An Bord Pleanala has granted the permit to develop the wind farm which will consist of 12 turbines that will be constructed in the townlands of Treankeel, Meenadaura, Carrickalangan, and Cark.
The EUR60 million (US$59.65 million) wind farm will be developed on a 50/50 partnership between FuturEnergy Ireland and SSE Renewables.
