SSE Renewables has selected Bureau Veritas SA to provide its project certification services for the 800 MW Arklow Bank Phase 2 Wind Park in Irish waters. Financial details were not disclosed.
The new wind farm will be constructed off the coast of County Wicklow in eastern Ireland, expected to produce power for 850,000 homes annually. SSE plans to complete the project by 2028.
During the design phase, Bureau Veritas SA will be responsible for project certification, with its scope of works involving the wind turbines, foundations, towers, and substations.
