SPI Energy Co., Ltd. (SPI Energy), a global provider of renewable energy solutions and crypto-miner hosting services for residential, commercial and utility customers, announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, SPI Solar Japan GK (SPI Japan), has completed a successful grid-connection and transfer of the “Shibayama 2” solar plant in Chiba prefecture, east of Tokyo, with capacity of 2.4 MW and an estimated total capacity of 3,100,000 kWh annually.
This project was planned as the 2nd half of a total 4.8 MW EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) partnership with Kyocera, Japan. The project has a 20 years FIT at 36 yen/kWh supply to Tokyo Electric Power Company, one of the largest electricity suppliers in Japan.
