Smart Solar Corp has completed 2.56 MW The Kumamoto Yamaga Solar Park B, located in Kumamoto prefecture, Japan.
The photovoltaic facility features 8,277 solar panels that are capable of generating around 2.79 million kWh of power per year. It is part of the 53-MW solar project in the area. The solar park is expected to produce the equivalent of the annual power consumption of about 8,745 homes and can offset 1,553.1 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually.
The PV facility is part of a four-plant, 53-MW solar complex -- Yamaga A, B, C and D -- that has been under development for the past three and a half years.
