Kyushu Mirai Energy Co., Ltd., Toyo Kanetsu Corporation, Okinawa Gas Co. Ltd., Kyushu Electric Works, Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Co. Ltd., and local companies have invested in Okinawa Uruma New Energy Co. Ltd. established by Erex Corp. in July 2018 to develop a biomass plant in Uruma City, Okinawa prefecture, southern Japan.
The facility has a total output of 49,000 kW and uses burned wood as biomass. Erex, Kyushu Mirai Energy, Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Co. Ltd., and Toyo Kanetsu will operate the power plant. Erex has secured eleven investors in total.
