South Korean companies to build green hydrogen and ammonia production plant in Abu Dhabi

Korea Electric Power Corporation, Samsung C&T, Korea Western Power and UAE-based Petrolyn Chemie have signed agreements to build a green hydrogen and ammonia production plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

The factory will be constructed in two phases in the Khalifa Industrial Zone, with the first phase expected to produce 35,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and ammonia per year and the second phase expected to increase capacity to 200,000 tonnes.

The project's technical and financial feasibility studies were completed.
