Siemens Gamesa has secured an order to supply 60 of its SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbines for the 882 MW Moray West offshore wind power project In Moray Fifth off the coast of Scotland.
Each wind turbine has a capacity of 14.7 MW and will have a PowerBoost function. The order also includes a service agreement. The installation of the first turbines is planned for 2024, with the first power to be produced in later that year.
Ignitis Group has a small part in the development of the Moray West offshore wind project, which is controlled by Ocean Winds, a joint venture that EDP Renewables and Engie SA.
