Siemens Gamesa has secured a contract from Eolien Maritime France, a joint venture between EDF Renouvelables and Enbridge Inc, for the supply of 71 units of SWT-7.0-154 offshore wind turbines for the 497 MW wind project off the coast of Normandy, France. The order was placed after GE renewables dropped out as the supplier.
Siemens Gamesa will also provide service and maintenance for the turbines to be installed at Fecamp offshore wind farm over a period of 15 years.
