EDF Renewables has started a loan crowdfunding campaign the seeks to support the development of the 500 MW Fecamp offshore wind farm project off the coast of Normandy.
The initiative aims to secure up to EUR750,000 (US$842,000) with the minimum and maximum contribution of EUR20 (US$24) and EUR2,000 (US$2,406), respectively. Caisse d’Epargne Normandie guarantees the loan with the support of the Normandy Region. The loan will have a gross interest of 3% interest over five years.
The Fecamp project will consist of 72 SWT-7.0-154 DD wind turbines. The project would require about EUR2 billion (US$2.236 billion) of investment with target completion by the end of 2023.
