Alternergy Holdings Corporation and Shell have launched a joint venture (JV) to develop a 1 GW offshore wind project off the Philippine island of Mindoro.
The partnership is initially exploring the possibility of installing a 5 GW offshore wind project in Calavite Passage.
Under the terms of the agreement, Alternergy will hold a 60% ownership in the JV, while Shell would control the remaining 40%.
