The Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina has awarded the development and concession right of the 72.9 MW solar photovoltaic plant in Trebinjet to power utility Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske (ERS).
ERS has been granted a 50-year concession for the development of the solar project. The project requires about BAM100.75 million (US$60.3 million) for development with the construction be done within 24 months. ERS must pay BAM503,750 (US$ 301,735) to the government as part of the concession agreement. The company must also pay BAM0.0055 (US$0.00329) per kWh of energy produced from the plant with 95% given to the Trebinje municipality.
Once operational, the solar farm can generate up to 108.7 GWh of energy per year.
