The Ministry of Energy of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed that the construction of the 50 MW Grebak wind farm project is set to begin in October 2020.

The government has awarded the 50-year concession contract to Vetroelektrana Grebak. The project will involve the construction of eight Siemens wind turbines with 6.6 MW each capacity in about 270 kilometers south-east of Banja Luka. Once operational, it is projected to produce up to 150 GWh of energy annually.

The project development is expected to value about BAM130 million (US$78.8 million). The contract with the Serb Republic mandates the concessionaire to pay a concession fee of BAM0.0055 (US$0.0033) per kilowatt.
