Schroders Plc, a UK asset management company, has completed the acquisition of a 75% stake in Greencoat Capital Holdings Limited.

From the deal initially discussed in December 2021, Schroders will buy the shareholding for an initial consideration of GBP358 million (US$469.69 million) in a cash deal that included a potential earn-out and options to eventually take full ownership over Greencoat. Following the closing of this transaction, Greencoat Capital will now be known as Schroders Greencoat.

Established in 2009, Greencoat is a specialist investment manager focussing on renewable energy infrastructure investing, including wind, solar, bioenergy, and heat.
