BayWa r.e. acquires 75 MWp Driffield solar park with energy storage project in Kingston upon Hull

BayWa r.e has acquired rights to develop a 75 MW Driffield solar plus storage project from Harmony Energy, located in Kingston upon Hull, in Yorkshire, England.

The Driffield project is composed of a 45MW PV solar plant with 30MW battery storage using the same grid connection. The construction of the facility is set to begin at the end of 2022 and is expected to be completed in early-mid 2023.

Once operational, the project will produce 45 GWh annually, equivalent to the annual electrical needs of approximately 11,400 family homes.
