The application for the 120 MW Little Crow Solar Park has been granted development consent by the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy of the UK.
The application comprised the solar park with a design capacity of over 550 MWp, including ground-mounted solar photovoltaic arrays, electrical storage, grid connection infrastructure and other infrastructure integral to its construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning. Based on examinations during which the public, Statutory Consultees and interested parties provided evidence to the Examining Authority, recommendations were made to the Secretary of State on 05 January 2022.
Developed by INRG Solar, the solar project covers a site of 226 hectares and consists of 356,670 solar panels set to cover 153 hectares of this. In addition, the farm will include a 90 MW battery energy storage system (BESS). Located in Lincolnshire, about 2.5 km northwest of the village of Broughton, the solar park will have a lifespan of 35 years.
