Savannah Energy PLC has signed an agreement with the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy, and Renewable Energies of Niger for the development of a 250 MW onshore wind project located in the Tahoua Region.
The wind farm which will have up to 60 turbines will become a part of the Parc Eolien de la Tarka project. Savannah Energy will complete a feasibility study to check for the viability of the wind resource and the grid connection options.
The decision on whether to proceed with the development of the project is expected to come out by 2023 with a target commissioning by 2025.
