RWE Supply & Trading has signed an agreement to provide green electricity produced by the 132 MW Windfarm Polska III project to Polish industrial customers in the construction sector for 10 years. The power will be supplied by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Stadtwerke München, and RWE will supply both green electricity and the certificates of origin, totalling around 180 GWh. The wind farm, which is located in northern Poland, was commissioned in 2021 and is equipped with 33 Vestas wind turbines.

RWE is a global leader in renewable energy production and has a large portfolio of green power. In Poland, RWE operates onshore wind farms with a total capacity of around 480 MW and is one of the top five wind power operators.

Stadtwerke München has been a trailblazer in the energy transition since 2008, driving renewable energy expansion in the Munich area and developing potential in other countries across Europe. The company is active in nine countries, mainly in onshore and offshore wind, and covers most of the value chain, from planning and construction to operation and marketing of green electricity.
