RWE has commissioned the 7.5 MW Oostpolderdijk wind project on a sea dike in Eemshaven, in the province of Groningen, the Netherlands.
Due to the location, the turbine foundations were erected on soil fortified with concrete and coated with sand to avoid direct contact with the subsurface. The wind park is anticipated to generate enough renewable energy to power up to 7,000 Dutch homes annually.
In February 2022, RWE signed a power purchase agreement with ASML for the supply of green power that will be generated at the wind project.
