R.Power SA has started the development of a 72 MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) portfolio in various districts of Portugal, including Alentejo, Santarém, Portalegre, and Castelo Branco.

The company anticipates completing the project by the end of 2023. Once operational, all the PV parks will be comprised of bifacial modules and will generate around 120 GWh of power annually.

Compared to gas-fired power plants, the annual reduction in CO2 emissions will be about 40,000 tons or the equivalent of 16 thousand passenger vehicles.
