The Deutsche Telekom Group has signed a cross-border Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) with Rezolv Energy to offtake power from the 461 MW VIFOR wind farm located in Buzău County, Romania.
This project, developed by Rezolv and Low Carbon, will use PPAs to support the construction of its first phase. The second phase will offer an additional 700 GWh per year to corporate buyers. The PPAs will enable three firms to purchase 100 GWh of clean power annually for 12 years. T-Mobile Czech Republic has secured 50 GWh per year, Slovak Telekom 40 GWh per year, and CE Colo Czech Republic 10 GWh per year. Once operational, VIFOR phase 1 will have a capacity of 192 MW, with plans to expand to 461 MW in phase 2. Construction is expected to be completed within 18 months, with VIFOR becoming operational before the end of 2025.
