UK-based renewable energy company RES has submitted a planning and development permit for a 58.8 MW Ballygilbert wind farm located about 3 km northwest of the Carncastle village within the townlands of Ballycoos, Ballygawn, Lisnahay North, and Lisnahay South in Northern Ireland.
The project will consist of 14 wind turbines for about GBP24.2 million (US$33.3 million) investment. The turbines will have a maximum tip height of up to 149.9 meters.
