After the cancellation of the deal with Brookfield Energia Renovavel, Renova Energia is searching for investors. Non-binding proposals came knocking at the door for the acquisition of the 400 MW Alto Sertao III wind project located in Bahia state, Brazil. According to the regulatory filing, potential investors are currently going through a due diligence process. To name a few, Alianca Geracao de Energia SA, a joint venture between Brazilian mining company Vale SA and energy group Cemig, is interested in buying the scheme.
The complex is composed of 26 wind farms with a total installed capacity of 400 MW, located across several municipalities in Bahia, a northeastern state of Brazil. The facility features 155 turbines.
