Aeon Mall Co., Ltd. and Sun Trinity LLC have entered into a comprehensive agreement for an on-site solar corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in Japan.
The initiative involves a total of 12 stores, and one of the locations features a substantial installed capacity surpassing 2,400 kilowatts. Through this arrangement, Aeon Mall anticipates using approximately 18 million kilowatt-hours of carbon-free renewable energy, equivalent to the power consumption of approximately 4,300 typical households. This aligns with Aeon Mall's "Aeon Decarbonization Vision," which strives to shift towards locally generated and consumed renewable energy, aiming for a 100% renewable energy ratio at directly managed malls by 2040.
