Eni subsidiary Plenitude has commenced the construction of a 330 MW Renopool solar project in Extremadura, Badajoz, Spain.
With the collaboration of construction firms OHLA, Sacyr, and Sarpel, a photovoltaic installation will be constructed near Solana de los Barros. This facility will generate 660 GWh annually, sufficient to power approximately 200,000 households. Comprising seven photovoltaic plants and an electric substation, the project will employ cutting-edge technologies such as bifacial modules and solar tracking structures. Renopool Solar Park will connect to the national grid through three connection nodes and a high-voltage line shared with other developers. The project, managed by leading companies under a turnkey arrangement, is scheduled for completion in 2025.
