Plenitude has started operations at the northern block of its 130 MW Renopool photovoltaic plant, located in the municipality of Solana de los Barros, in Badajoz (Extremadura), Spain.

The Renopool project, consisting of seven photovoltaic plants distributed across two blocks, will reach a total installed capacity of 330MW once completed at the end of 2025. The 130MW northern block at Solana de los Barros, in Badajoz (Extremadura), has now been connected to the grid. The block, consisting of three photovoltaic plants, is expected to generate over 265GWh annually. Plenitude said the operational milestone has been achieved with the support of the main contractor, OHLA, as well as close collaboration with local authorities.

Plenitude has launched long-term environmental initiatives, including a five-year research partnership with the University of Extremadura to study local fauna and soil, and will manage over 100 hectares to protect steppe breeding birds. Plenitude, backed by progress in Extremadura, Castilla y León, and Andalusia, has reached 1300 MW of installed capacity in Spain and is developing over 2 GW of future renewable projects.
