Plan 8, a German-based company dedicated to renewable energy projects, has presented its new 248 MW wind project to the Environmental Impact Assessment System (SEIA) in Chile.
The onshore wind project, known as the Culenco plant, will be located on an area of 925 hectares in the region of Ñuble, Itata province. The wind farm will be equipped with 31 turbines and a 60 MW storage system. The generated energy will be conducted by an underground line (33 kV) to the Culenco Elevator Substation and then to a High Voltage Line (220 kV) to the Itata Substation.
The estimated investment in the project is US$300 million.
