Spanish renewable energy developer Grenergy Renovables SL plans to build a 200 MW solar photovoltaic project in the region of Tarapacá in Chile. The facility, named Victor Jara, will consist of 416,700 solar modules at 520 Wp per module.
The project investment is about US$225 million. The construction is scheduled for late May 2022, and the plant is expected to be operational a year later.
The environmental influence statement for the Victor Jara project was submitted recently and is under evaluation.
