AES Gener to build 107.5 MW San Matias wind project in Biobio

Energy producer and distributor AES Gener, a unit of AES Corporation, plans to build a 107.5 MW San Matias wind project in Bio-Bio, Chile. 

The project will consist of 25 4.3-MW wind turbines and will be installed across the Los Angeles commune. AES Gener intends to invest up to US$224 million in the wind farm. 

Construction of the project is expected to start in February 2022.
