Chile launches tender for green hydrogen projects

The government of Chile has announced a tender seeking interested partners to develop green hydrogen projects in Chile. The key aim of this initiative is to accelerate the realization of green projects by financing, which will contribute to achieving the goal of carbon neutrality, as well as for the generation of employment and opportunities. Resources for a maximum of US$ 30 million will be delivered to one or more projects.  

The criteria for proposed green hydrogen projects are as follows:

  • Production capacity of the project needs to be greater than 10 MW;
  • The project should be operational by December 2025.
