PGE Baltica has launched the environmental survey process for its 900 MW Baltica 1 offshore wind project, which is located approximately 80 kilometers from the Polish Baltic coast.
Gdynia Maritime University and MEWO SA are responsible for preparing an environmental report and securing an environmental permit. The research will provide answers to issues regarding potential risks and probable limitations that must be considered when designing and building an offshore wind farm.
