Pattern Energy Group LP has announced that the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) unanimously approved its 3 GW SunZia Transmission project. Similarly, the company's 3.5 GW SunZia Wind Projects were granted two separate approvals by the New Mexico Public Regulatory Commission.

The projects are working with federal agencies like the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), local governments, and stakeholders to finish permissions so construction can begin in mid-2023.

Together, SunZia Wind and Transmission form the largest renewable energy infrastructure project in US history with a total investment of more than US$8 billion and enough energy to power the demands of more than 3 million Americans.
