Clearway Energy Group has sold the 100 MW Wildflower solar photovoltaic (PV) project to Duke Energy Sustainable Solutions. The solar farm will produce sufficient energy to power around 21,000 houses in Mississippi, USA.
Wildflower is anticipated to commence full construction by the end of 2022 and enter commercial operation by the end of 2023.
Toyota North America has signed a virtual power purchase agreement for up to 80 MW of solar energy generated by the project for a period of 15 years. The deal will be settled financially based on the real-time energy generation of the plant.
