Pampetrol and YPF Luz have entered into a collaboration and alliance agreement for the development of solar generation projects with a combined installed capacity of up to 80 MW as part of their efforts toward energy transition in Argentina.
The partners will work together to co-develop projects in Realicó and General Pico with an installed capacity of up to 40 MW each, generating up to 185 GWh of energy annually, and reducing CO2 emissions by up to 100,000 tons per year. The construction investment for each project is expected to range from US$20 to US$30 million, depending on the final installed capacity.
YPF Luz and Pampetrol will identify potential sites, determine interconnections, and undertake engineering, permitting, and feasibility studies to ensure the successful implementation of renewable projects in the province.
YPF Luz is planning to commit up to US$260 million in investment to develop a 155 MW wind farm project that will be located in the town of General Levalle, Córdoba, Argentina.
