YPF Luz is planning to commit up to US$260 million in investment to develop a 155 MW wind farm project that will be located in the town of General Levalle, Córdoba, Argentina.
The project will consist of 25 6.2-MW wind turbines installed on about 4,360 ha of land. It is designed to generate enough power for the consumption of up to 190,000 homes and offsets about 350,000 tons of carbon emissions per year.
YPF is a state-owned oil company that is based in Argentina. The company also operates renewable energy assets such as solar and wind projects.
